We rarely get snow down there on the south coast

Seems appropriate though as we've just been putting up the Christmas tree

Been great fun. Quite localised; roads closed the other side of Cheltenham but barely any snow 20 mins north.

Fog never lifted here either. Tesla bearing up remarkably well although the cold is bollocksing the range.

Freezing fog all day, just as we got back it started snowing. Kids properly giddy. Still coming down three hours later.

Wanted to go out for a fun drive in the snow but all the cunts have ruined it :(
Will just sip some whisky instead.

(It’s only really snowing in the Maidstone region)

What kind of difference is it making?

I think for my average 25 mile drive to work it is consuming an extra 7 miles or so worth of leccy (if that makes sense). Some of this might be down to my over enthusiastic cabin heating pre departure I guess.

The other annoyance is that if I go via the supercharger bear work on my way home, the battery is too cold to charge quickly.

For context, driving round in my diesel was getting sub-20mpg locally on the very snowy roads and overall low-30s on a 40-ish mile round trip yesterday. So ~25% worse than I'd expect normally.

@Explosive Newt I saw a tip recently that said that it's more efficient to use heated seats/steering wheel etc than the blowers on an electric car

Obviously on a petrol car, a lot of the heating is from the engine, so is "free", but getting warm using the air heater in an electric car uses much more electricity than the heated seats/wheel
