All the gear, no idea

Coming back from the school run this morning I pulled up at some traffic lights. Shortly after, a White Hyundai i30N pulled up along side, farting and popping as he came to a stop. He did the usual edging forward and blipping the throttle of someone who is eager to get away briskly and continue with their day.

I remained aloof. The lights go green and to the sound of much revving, the Hyundai begins to move but at a significantly slower rate than both the Jag and the noise coming from his car would indicate. He was sat there spinning his front wheel as I moved smoothly off before he finally hooked it up and farted past.

Age, wisdom, and throttle control are clearly still a match for power and youthful exuberance.

A friend has an i30N and it's a very impressive car

The front end grip it finds when driving "enthusiastically" is mighty impressive

And yes, they make lots of naughty noises

Makes you wonder how they're able to achieve that with emissions regs where my M140i sounds incredibly muted by comparison

Ah America, the land where you can systematically remove people’s freedoms, as long as you don’t touch their guns

You've quoted straight from the Jag owner's handbook
At school run time, too

I wonder if the ridiculously loud Harleys pass or are American bikes exempt?

One has to make a swift departure when one has a borrowed projector, a selection of glassware from the chemistry labs that you're taking for cleaning, and a newly qualified geography teacher in the car.

In all honesty, I didn't even boot it and I've got a pair of P6000s on the back!
