Chainsaw chains (probably FTAO Mito)

I don't currently need a chainsaw chain - saw is only a few months old, has only had limited use, and I have a chain file to play with.

BUT. :geek:

Knowing they are consumables, I feel I should probably buy a spare before I need one....

There are loads of brands out there that apparently fit, and though genuine Husky chains appear to be reassuringly more expensive, I imagine some other manufacturers are crap, whilst some are perfectly good. I have no idea who is reputable. Hence the question. :)

OEM Husky chain reference for mine is "5854042-52".

In my (admittedly very historic) experience Husky and Stihl blades are worth spending the money on.

This was on saws used daily though, cheap ones might last better on something that’s only being used occasionally.

Yeah stick to Husky (Oregon) and Stihl. Cheaper chains are made of softer steel and go blunt and stretch more so not worth the hassle.
