Given we've been talking about dash cams, latest short drive was a chance to test what the footage actually looks like. This is just a quick screenshot from a video rendered in 1080p and medium quality.

The boy was driving... It totally knocked his confidence for the rest of the drive... I've seen this van doing similar stuff on at least two other occasions...

Quality looks ok though. Very annoying silver trim on the dash has to go as its a menace for reflections.

What did he do wrong?

Looks like a poorly planned overtake as he’s quite close to the oncoming car.
But on the other hand if you do not go for a gap which exists are you even a van driver?
