I am sure you all vaguely remember my proud post the my wee girl was selected too go to represent Scouting in the UK at next years' Jamboree in South Korea.
She has done loads of sponsorship activities, worked as a cleaning lady amongst other things.
She is walking round Kielder Water in October which is pretty much a full marathon, I know everything is stupid expensive just now but if anyone has a pound or two spare it really would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Done. Hope she has a fantastic time. I visited Seoul in 2006 and it was an awesome place.

It was, yes. Super chilled out, the climate was fab, and the people were lovely. One guy I visited gave me a phone to use for the week I was there and also provided me with a driver and car when I needed it.
I arrived on a Sunday and couldn't get any of bank cards to work so the hotel gave me £200 (equiv in Won) until I got sorted. Also sent me a massive fruit platter and bottle of champers on my birthday.
It's a great place to visit!

A boss I had years ago (American, but had spent time working in the East when his kids were young) told me that his daughter was moving to Seoul for work. I asked if she considered it a good Korea move? He didn’t laugh.

Hope she enjoys it! We’ve got a scout going from our group, plus several going to the jamborette in Holland, so appreciate its quite a decent cost, but massively worth it.
There’s a lot of neckerchief swapping goes on at the jamboree so worth getting a few extra in advance

Her unit seem to be the only one that has not managed to produce a badge yet but hopefully will have between now and next August, would you like one when they do appear?

Finally got badges at the weekend and I knew someone on here wanted one (or a few). You still after some? I cannot remember the set price they all have to sell them for but I imagine she will

I just want some badges off Gavin. However I’ve got 6million pounds for you Dinny. I just need £5000 so I can bring it direct to you in a briefcase. Please send the funds asap as I’ve emailed every person in Britain and I’m sure someone will take me up on the offer soon
