Anyone used them - the type that you insert the "string" type ones. I've used them successfully on bikes, but Are they any good for cars?

Plugs I have used are like those made by “Slime” in that vid. Simple rubber plug.

Top tips:

You need some good clean in&out action with the tool. No sniggering at the back. If the tyre is totally deflated this can be difficult, so stick the tool in so it’s filling the hold and put 8-10 psi in to bring some rigidity..

Rubber solvent/cement onto the plug before you shove it in - don’t need to insert the tool up to the handle. Gently move it back out until you feel resistance (when the tick part of the tool is hitting the inner surface of the tyre) and give it a solid tug out - not immediately apparent, but the tool has a sharp edge so it doesn’t cut the plug as you push it in, but does as you pull it out.
