Commonwealth Games cars

Enjoyed the opening ceremony last night. The display of cars was interesting - and a massive risk, surely, since virtually all of them were at risk of overheating, dropping oil or simply failing to proceed 
I haven't seen a clear shot to identify everything there - and the commentary said that many were driven by their owners, so there must be some people known to this forum involved, surely? Anyone got any background knowledge of it, how the cars were chosen (that dark Metro with no wheeltrims looked a bit shabby) and whether there were any hiccups? Also, is there a full list of the cars?
