So, who's going this year? I've managed to forget already!
Looks a wee bit damp so far...

It's in the weather warning area so may well get soggy later;

Looks good to me. (Although it also looks huge)

Daytona Techno Violet looks more dull than I remember, but maybe that's just my mind playing tricks on me as I've not seen the colour in the flesh for years. I loved it on the E36 though! Maybe I'm just used to these really bright purples and blues we get now.
The more I see it, I quite like the colour of the press cars (Chalk) with the contrasting black room. Makes some of the styling details in black/carbon stand out very well.

It was soggy until midday before it cleared up but not muddy. The event is still nowhere near as big as before Covid with most manufacturers making a smaller effort each year since
Highlight for me was the Mercedes F1 team. They had the 2019 F1 car all opened up and were explaining the process for getting it to do a run up the hill. Takes 2 hours to get it prepped for each run because the drivetrain is so complex, then they gave out the steering wheel for everyone in the crowd to have a play with and explained the magic button incident in Baku last year.
The buttons are pretty stiff but I could see how an inferior driver like Hamilton could make such a mistake

I'm about to head to an inexpensive hotel just off the M4 ahead of my day they tomorrow! Hopefully will be a touch more dry, although I have packed for wet weather too!

Techno was always quite dark and subtle. Daytona was more purple.
I like the colour, still think the front end is revolting. And the rest is pretty meh. Missed the boat on cool m3 tourings by about 25 years…

Only partly;
It's not exactly the same as the colour you had, it's an updated Tribute version only available with the Sport Plus option that removes the 250km/h restriction; Techno Techno Techno Techno Violet.

P1 Spider gets my seal of approval, don't care that it's a rehash of a pretty old model.

Lovely day out although I should have looked more carefully to book things in advance.
The Lotus Emira a particular highlight. The salesmen were exceptionally nerdy about the product; they clearly knew their audience. Felt terrific to sit in and sounded excellent on the way up the hill climb.
The Porsche cafe served me a cooked breakfast for £25 which was exceptionally poor value for money but at least you got to sit down and see the show limbering up around you.
And on the way home, I drove through a village called Cocking, which was great.

Love the colour, violently hate the wheels, hate the size, like that the photo doesn't show the front.

Shitting Christ, it had better havdbeen the best breakfast you've had in your life for that money.

It wasn't, and the service was distinctly un-Porsche, but you could sit down and watch the hillclimb, so...

Captive audience I suppose.
Colleague is at Goodwood this week with her husband (although she loves it, too), I'll see if she got ripped off for some bacon and egg, too, on Monday

For FoS sometimes they'd ask for product development engineers to interact with actual people and as compensation you'd get access for the days you weren't working.

This was in stark contrast to the Alfa stand which was staffed exclusively by very attractive women. One described the Giulia to me as “the sporty one.”

I didn’t come across anyone who didn’t thoroughly know their product this year but generally the level of competence is very high at Goodwood. I remember the British Motor Show was the complete opposite as the manufacturers just threw cheerleaders at it
