Apparently so. Died in his sleep in The Dominican Republic.

RIP Henry!!
Ray Liotta
Re: Ray Liotta
Some really great performances over his career
Unlawful Entry, Copland - He was brilliant in that in a film full of stars. Loved his ‘Dad’ in Blow. Very short role but brilliant.
And then obviously Field if Dreams which has very personal resonance for me and if course Goodfellas.
I’m not often upset at the passing of a ‘celeb’ but this one hurts..

Re: Ray Liotta
WTF... What a crappy day with him and Andy Fletcher.
He'll always be Henry Hill to me, one of the most amazing performances in an incredible movie, but like you say @dinny_g, he went on to have some great performances over the years. Will watch that movie over the weekend, I don't think my boy has seen it yet. Imagine seeing a movie like that for the first time. RIP.

Re: Ray Liotta
Goodfellas holds a special place for me.
I watched it the day after a mate had been attacked in the pub - he wasn’t shy to fight anyone, but the bloke that had a go (part of a large group) must have been in his forties (mate was 19/20) and had a fistful of sovereign rings on each hand designed to maximise damage. I ran him to the hospital and had to give his details to staff as he struggled speak through lips split in many places.
My folks were away at the time, and after we watched the film I was left alone in the house. Think I probably slept 2 hrs max - every creak or groan on the wind making me think Henry/Jimmy/Tommy were in the room with me. And not in a good way.
RIP Mr L.

R.I.P.
Unexpected, it seems like I've only just watched The Many Saints Of Newark.
A great actor

I had my own Goodfellas style restaurant walk in New York a number of years ago. Always made me think about the film. Him voicing Tommy Vercetti in GTA Vice City was part of my youth as well.
