Is that maybe something else that you enjoy doing more?

If the Queen dies on Sunday, can we get the Monday off too?

There’s a party in our village so it’ll be rude not to go. And she’s a nice old stick so why not celebrate?

It's a good excuse for a street party. That may seem like someone's idea of a nightmare but they're a nice lot.

We've been invited to a street party which I'll happily join, however it's on the Sunday... I mean, wtf, why have it on the last day, before being back at work?!

Yeah, my anti-monarchy leanings aside, if the neighbours fire up a BBQ, I'll bring some meat and beer and chat shit with 'em.

There’s a project to light a load of beacons up and down the country on the 2nd at 9:45. Our scout groups grounds aren’t big enough to do anything like that so we’ve made little paraffin torches for the kids to light at the same time

I won't be doing anything, did laugh the other day though. My local Tesco has a bunch of union flag stuff on a wee display just now and I initially thought that they were trying to entice the Rangers fans who were at Hampden on Saturday

In the NHS, the hospital runs with about a quarter of the normal staff at weekends or on bank holidays. This is partly why mortality for patients admitted at weekends is higher.

So guess how I am feeling about a 4-day weekend.

Street party here, woohoo! Although I must admit that the four days off is the most exciting bit of it.
