Again, the Hierarchy of Road Users

The cyclist is now responsible for noticing the pedestrian (particularly a vulnerable one) and alter their cycling to avoid this incident. Cyclist should have slowed and then there would have been no issue.

100% the cyclists fault

So burn him at the stake...

It's great to see him get grief in the comments and him arguing back.

Fucking hell that’s laughably easy to avoid, he didn’t even need to brake at all 😂

Dave!

That's as much disabled guy's fault really - he shouldn't be crossing on a red man signal should he? He clearly just thought "fuck the cyclist I'm going for it"

Under the new priority system pedestrians always have right of way. The red man signal for pedestrians merely alerts them to the fact they should be more cautious. Technically under the new system traffic lights for pedestrians and pedestrian crossings are almost irrelevant as a pedestrian stepping onto the road gives them right of way.

Is he still a ped., or is that motorised transport so he should cede to the psycholist?

It's Ireland - do the same rules apply there?

This is not true. But you know that.

Even if they're crossing on a red man? That can't be right is it?

Pretty sure traffic lights for pedestrians are only advisory, otherwise we’d have some silly jaywalking rules? Then it’ll come back down to vulnerability of users.

The Mikey chap is now being referred to as the bikenonce on twitter for filming mums and kids on the school run.

I shouldn't find it this funny lol

He isn't filming kids though is he. That's just an idiotic claim put out by people who don't like to be caught using their phones behind the wheel.

I mean, live by the sword (repeated, vastly inflated claims of possibly illegal behaviour), die by the sword.

What a crappy junction design, visibility of bikes coming from the left is terrible for vehicles turning left off the road.
