EBay help please.

The phone I was selling ended yesterday, after it ended the winning bidder messaged to ask what spec it was, memory, storage size etc. When I relied it was in the original advert he then replies asking if I can post it in the morning. Something doesn’t feel right to me and I’m inclined to cancel the sale. Thoughts?

No other comes, paid through PayPal, good feedback. It just seems weird that you would buy a relatively expensive item and not know what you were bidding on.

That is really weird. If you're uncertain then cancelling is definitely the safest.
If you do go ahead, take photos of the phone working before you send it including the spec if possible, take photos of it in the box, then take a photo of the box labelled and ready to go. Use a carrier with proper tracking too or Royal Mail SD.
If it is a scammer then they'll claim the box arrived empty/broken etc and these photos would prove that you sent it working in good order. Still a ballache if they are a scammer though.

I think cancelling and relisting is my best option, blocking bids by him obviously.

I remember trying to sell a phone on eBay years ago - it took about 4 attempts because of crap like this.

As they've paid and have good feedback I'd probably go ahead and post it, but a video of it working wouldn't hurt and tracked service as already said.

Yeah, you have to remember that people are strange creatures... Take a note of the serial number, pics before you post it and as its all gone through PayPal you should be good.

It might be ott, but given how common phone scams are on there I’d do a full vid.
Have things prepared beforehand, show it working and the serial number, show all sides of it, turn it off, put it in the box, in the postage bag showing the label and seal it up.
Would only take a couple of minutes and could save you losing hundreds.
