I passed a new BMW M340i the other day on the motorway and as I approached it, I noticed a small Thrifty logo on the rear. Imagine they're a bit pricey to hire by the day.

ETA: easy to find out, £1000 per month (slightly less for multiple months booked in advance) with a 2000 miles per month limit. Couldn't see a daily rate so presumably they're often used for credit hire replacements after accidents.

The BMW dealers in London use Thrifty for courtesy cars rather than a fleet of their own.
How about not having a sig at all?

Going back home in August and the price of fuel has pushed the price of the ferry up to £650 so for comparison, I priced the Ryanair / Car Hire option.

Flights were £280 for the three of us which was OK bit a Fiat 500 for 2 weeks was £1700  The same car, rented in France for the same period was £500
