Addictive Word/Puzzle Games

Since starting on Wordle, I'm suddenly doing Quordle and Octordle (same principle, but guessing four and eight words respectively), Worldle (guess the country from the shape), Heardle (guess the song from a 2s snip) and the Guardian crossword.

I'm avoiding several others because it'll take all day otherwise. I know @tim dabbles too, anyone else?

Wordle, Quordle and Heardle for me. And a lot of Sudoku.

I enjoy a Wordle in the morning, i've convinced myself that those 5 minutes activate my brain 😂

The only Wordle spin-off I like is Squardle:

Their 1 April game was particularly good because it used no vowels 😄

Always enjoyed Sudoku and Killer Sudoku for years after they came out.

Was avoiding wordle. Now daughter has started it I end up helping her. Started worldle though.

I like doing the daily Wordle to get my brain in gear. My lad (13) has taken to it as well, which can only be a good thing.

Now I'm doing that one too.

Whichever one you choose, be aware of the risks;

I've just found Wordiply (wordiply.com) which is good fun. You're given a short word and then have to find the longest word containing that word, e.g. you're given "room" so you can use "bridegrooms" or "broomsticks" and so on.

I missed a day completely once and it didn’t seem to affect my streak.

That's all I did and it reset the streak. Do you have an account? I don't, I wonder if that makes a difference.

Yes, I have an account. That must be the difference.

Well that's just cheating if you can be one letter wrong at the start and be unable to get it

I don't know if that link is any good so...

FOUND
ROUND
SOUND
MOUND

Were you playing on hard mode? I used FOUND as my third guess and realised there were plenty of possible answers so used BUMPH for my 4th to get it on the 5th.

(Checks) no but seems I was playing it like that anyway
Maybe a degree of self-imposed difficulty, I can't say I aim to do it when I'm not at my sharpest because that would suggest there's a peak, but, erm, yeah...most blunted is Roy Walker. :?

Didn't realise there was a hard mode option, but that's how I always play it anyway.
