One would hope not!
I just mean, something like that pops up into the stratosphere and I'm sure a few bells and whistles start going off.
One would hope not!
Why would they be forced to come to the negotiating table? Trump is in Putin's pocket, so while he can force Ukraine by threatening to withhold arms, he's got nothing on Russia. I'm pretty sure Putin is the one holding all the aces when it comes to Trump.duncs500 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 10:18 am I guess both parties know that come January they're going to be forced to come to the negotiating table, so they're going to be throwing everything at each other until then to strengthen their respective negotiating positions. Unfortunately for Ukraine it seems like Russia are gaining the upper hand, so king Donald will probably award them a bigger share of the kingdom.
I don't think Russia really want the war to go on for years and years either. Putin needs to be seen to have 'won', but the longer the war goes on the less popular it will become at home.DeskJockey wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 5:49 pmWhy would they be forced to come to the negotiating table? Given everything that has happened, I can't imagine any of the Republican party, or Republican voters, caring in the slightest about that. Weird sex stuff is almost compulsory to get a job with Donald. There must be something far better if Putin truly has leverage over him.
If they've not had a revolt yet, I doubt it'll ever happen. Despite the fact it must be well know that getting drafted means you're never coming home and basically being pushed into a meat grinder - it's been made pretty clear what happens to those who voice there concerns internally. As usual, fear is a great motivator.duncs500 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 7:51 pmI don't think Russia really want the war to go on for years and years either. It appears it was actually an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM), and was used:
