Mine changed last Oct, by +93%. Most people are going to have a tough time in 2022.

Everyone will be getting a big shock with their electric bills.

I fixed mine for 2 years at 22p a kw/h.

Colleagues in Norway, the home of cheap electricity are paying around 80p a kw/h.

All these 5p off peak tariffs are not long for this world so fix for as long as possible.

I was in a load of credit for lekky before we got the EV, so I’ve been increasing our monthly DD to drain the excess away whilst accounting for a considerable increase in consumption. I’m back to a zero-ish balance, but I’m still hiking it up every other month….

Aye, mines pretty much doubled towards the end of last year.

You need some hearty soups before bed and a few star jumps, that’s all.

Or do what my wife does and have enough wax melts and salt lamps around so you save money by not needing the heating on……… oh

I fixed last October for a couple of years at 21p ish/kwh for leccy, can't remember the gas fix. Literally the last good fix on the market before it all went to shit. Regardless, I note how much less gas I'm using now with the new windows and doors and a 30+ year younger boiler fitted compared with what was there before.

They've increased it again, I was paying £73 a month for gas & elec in December, now they're going to start taking £212.

We're at about £370/month for a four bed semi. It hurts. Leccy car accounts for about ~£90/month of that.

My bill for combined gas and electric is going up by £700. For a very small two bed house.

That's not a typo - *going up by*.

It's almost doubled since I moved in five years ago.

Ive just moved from a fixed tariff to a new fixed tariff. My direct debit was £100 per month, it’s now £150.

I was wondering about not fixing and going onto a flexible tariff but fixed as soon as Russia moved into Ukraine

We used to pay about £150/month on a DD. That covered us for the year, building up over the summer months, etc. So far we've paid nearly 2/3rds of that in four months. It will be a tough year for many.

Ours is going up from £99 to £180, tis a right kick in the teeth when the house hold income might be dropping £125 a month from next month.

We're doing £137/month in a detached 3 bed (timber frame and well insulated).

That was fixed at October '21's prices so will be paying that for the next 19 months assuming a regular weather pattern. Considering we're now past the worst of the cold weather and the account was only started in October (so no time to build up credit before the cold months) and my account is flat I'm thinking we won't even use that full amount. I expect we'll end up this October in credit and then next year in even more credit, depending how much we use the air conditioning over summer.

Our heating is not on during the day and I've cut 30mins here and there from the evening and morning routines without complaints. It will be going off fully in April hopefully.

We're with Bulb which will be interesting, given it's being propped up by the government.
