Alloy wheel refurb companies?

Who does a good job on wheel refurbs at the moment? I need to get a ballpark price for some 19" rims before tomorrow morning, because the guy who rented my car has damaged the wheel and I've been advised to resolve outside of Turo because they were already kerbed. Need to make sure I know how much a good quality refurb would cost.

https://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/

They do an “instant quote” on the website.

Franchise, so some are great, some aren’t.

Probably £50-£100 per wheel depending on what's needed and where you go. Taking the tyre off and doing a full strip & recoat will likely cost more than a "smart" repair kinda thing.

Indeed, I threw a quote on last night, for the Civic. £360 for all four wheels, drive in/out etc.

Just this morning i get a call from them asking when I'd like to book in 🤣

Bah - that’s the pre-negotiation price too.

I paid £300 for the Evora (19” fronts, 20” rears) including fitting (not parts) and reprogramming new TPMS sensors.

Holy fook!

How the hell did they manage that? Were they trying to emulate Russ Swift parallel parking?

Bloody hell. The bumper is damaged too. Surely this is for Turo insurance to sort out now ?

Yeah it would be a bit much to expect someone to sort that out themselves. You're looking at north of £500 for a new wheel I'd have thought, based on what I paid for one from BMW 3-4 years ago.

Sheeeee-it!!!

Is it still holding air?! Get on eBay and find a replacement.

Or,

I've seen some clever videos involving ramen noodles and superglue that might help...

And the suspension needs a proper once-over.

Though I'd be concerned about what other damage has been caused by that - surely they've clouted a kerb at speed to do that!

Apparently they clipped a kerb at ~50mph.

@Sundayjumper The bumper is fine, that mark to the rear is just a reflection of the piece of paper that's sitting in the gutter.
@Swervin_Mervin I've been warned off using Turo insurance for this. They have a reputation for not paying out for damage to wheels if there's any sign of previous damage and my wheels were already kerbed af. Admittedly, this is quite extreme though.
@Broccers No loss of earnings cover on the plan I use (25%). If you pay 35% there's more cover I think. This guy is working his ass off to get it sorted today.
@Rich B Been trying to get hold of that one for today, they can only promise delivery for tomorrow. Car drives totally fine, however I'm gonna get it checked as well.
