Pretty daft that they don't include a suitable charger.
It'll charge off any usb obviously, but I agree that it should at least be an option to get one with it at purchase time.

My Pro was delivered today and has topped up quick. I ordered a 30w charger with it but have plugged it into a 3a USB-c twin socket in the living room.
Really liking it so far. Everything transferred over quickly and easily. I'm just going through accounts and logging in now. It looks and feel lovely and I'm looking forward to having a play around with it!

The weird stretch/bounce effect when you reach the end of a (quick) scrolling action is pretty annoying
It's as if there is a glitch in the matrix

I also like that if you plug in to charge overnight and have a wake up alarm set, it will slow charge so it's at 100% when you wake up helping to protect battery life.

I thought the "leave it on charge overnight kills the battery" was no longer a thing with modern phones.
I am kinda tempted by a new phone, despite not seeing any real reason to upgrade from my 3a other than "ooh shiny"

Kinda sorta depending on the charge rate etc.
The 'clever charge' thing where it charges it gently over time is still there for a reason, although 1000 cycles (two and a half years really) of fast charging shouldn't have a major impact on battery life any more.
I tend to overnight charge my phone on wireless charging (low impact) but if I for some reason forget (IE drunk on a school night) then the ability to dump 60+% charge by plugging it in while I have a shower and grab a coffee in the morning is bloody handy

Adaptive charging. Even the iPhones do it...
One thing I like on the '5' is that when you plug it in to charge it turns the phone into a wireless charging pad automatically, so I can pop my airpods case on the back to charge them at the same time.

I'll grant you, that's quite a clever little trick.

The in screen finger print reader isn't as good as it should be. That's my only gripe thus far. I'm sure that'll be fettled with software updates though.

Apparently it's.an optical one rather than an ultrasonic one, hence it's not as quick as others...

It was very poor, I listen to Spotify via Bluetooth and it would take it 5 minutes to connect, regularly drop out and go silent for up to a minute when skipping tracks. Then the idrive crashed and rebooted itself twice. Fine back to the Oneplus and its all fine.

Strange! Both mine and the wife's 6 have been working as they should. Funnily enough, I had issues with my 2xl when trying to connect with that new 430i that I had the other day.

My first free gift pair of Bose 700 headphones have arrived today. Beautifully packaged and feeling like a real quality piece of kit. I must say I'm impressed so far. Just filling them with electricity and I can give them a whirl.

Has anyone had one of these long enough to say good or not now?

Yes. A great bit of kit and good value for a high end smartphone. If I lost it today (phone, not marbles) I'd buy another one.

Keeping an eye out for the Pixel 6a - my 3a is coming out of support very soon so it's time for an upgrade.....
