People who feel compelled to write reviews

Just ordering various electrical items to wire a cabin and can't help noticing that people leave reviews for the most mundane crap. People saying it does what it says on the tin for a twin and earth cable. Some cunt reassuring other cunts that a cable gland "does as it is supposed to do". Another prick is on about being happy that the cable clips hold cables in place.
It seems like people who use Screwfix seem to be the worst offenders of this. There's at least tens of these reviews for each item. Are they paid to write this crap or is it all OAPs who have discovered the internet?!

Bit whiney, livened up in the middle with a few c bombs and the word "gland", but ultimately not a great post.

2 stars out of 5

:D

It's usually because the company will follow up with an email a few days after the order saying 'how did we do? Write a review to win £100' or whatever.

I also sometimes write snarky reviews when a product spectacularly fails to live up to its description. Like the 1m single gang extension cable that I bought that's only 79cm long.

Did they apologise because it fell short of your expectations 😁

I guess they are useful to give you a general warm fuzzy feeling that the thing you are about to buy is not going to fall apart the moment you open the packet.
Yes, it is particularly noticeable on Screwfix.

I had a choice between product x (cheap and nasty £2) and product y (expensive and high quality £50)

I bought product x and am surprised that it’s cheap and nasty. I should have bought product y but I’m a tight cunt and now regret being a tight cunt

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

The best ones are the people who give an item 5 stars because it arrived quickly and looks nice but haven’t actually fitted it or used it yet

Or the ones that give a 1 star rating to their excellent product that does everything asked of it because Hermes delivered it two days late.

Or the ones who give it one star then go on to rave about how good it is!

Most crazy I think I've seen is a 5 star review which said 'it hasn't arrived yet, but I'm sure it'll be brilliant'.

Nothing screams 'win ££££ for posting a review' more than that.

One from screwfix

" We have a new house and want to relocated several radiators, decided to go the plastic route after a lot of research, HEP20 seeming to be the best. Only 4 stars as not used yet but no reason to believe if fitted correctly will not perform and last as required. "

Not sure what research he’s done either, hep2o isn’t great
