Sad news - eerie timing for me particularly as I never watched the wire first time around and have just finished binge watching the first series last week. RIP Omar :(

Incredibly sad.

You’re truly in for a treat @GG, so many stand out characters. Better than the Sopranos IMO.

Where are you watching it? I haven’t seen all seasons and ai don’t think Mrs mik has seen any….

Its available on demand on Sky as was previously aired on Sky Atlantic.

With advert breaks every five minutes which are bloody annoying though!

Really sad stuff, he was some actor and was legendary in The Wire.

Spookily I'd just been listening to his podcast with Marc Maron from earlier this year which was brilliant and very life-affirming although they obviously talked about their addiction issues.
