Audi concept car. Bit of a bizarre looking thing.

In Sports mode the ride drops 10mm, but the wheelbase (ahead of the A-pillar) shortens by 250mm. A flexibility that all-electric has made rather simpler.

What immediately popped into my head when I saw it was the vehicle from the League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Yeah, I was thinking Joel Schumacher Batmobile but definitely that kind of thing.

Did someone do a concept car in the 90's or early 00's that did it, I think it was green and looked pretty cool.

I'm sure Rinspeed did a concept with a variable wheelbase but I can't find any evidence of it.

I knew it was green and had mercedes lights

Took me too long to remember the name!

I seem to remember seeing it at a show somewhere, it says it was unveiled at Geneva but I've never been there.

Maybe they took it to the NEC afterwards

It was on Top Gear as part of a feature about Rinspeed.

The Rinspeed thing was the perfect “designated driver” car.

After the pub : “you guys OK in the back? Not too cramped?”

“Yeah fine”.
