More and more common, but fortunately they give advance warning of nobbish driving. So I hate them but let the idiots keep them.

I quite like some of them, haven't got them for the reasons mentioned above, but I think poop LED number plate lights are worse aesthetically..

What's a 4D plate? Is it a 3D plate that's travelling through time?

It's a stupid naming convention but 3D is slightly raised text like you get on a fancy card and 4D is the fully raised text with sharp edges as seen in the example above. I think the 3D ones can look smart but unfortunately they've all got a bad reputation now.

3D plates are for cunts in current time and space. 4D are for cunts since birth, in the present day, and forevermore.

I’ve never understood the idea of changing your plate for anything other than standard font

Comic Sans or nothing.

Most don't appear to be legal as they are devoid of the required makers info. My friendly chief cunstable agreed but said they have two coppers covering a 50 mile square area atm, so come this way if you want to commit serious crime. I'd agree with they look shit anyway.

Technically they are standard font.
I am not trying to excuse them.

Presumably a big fan of late nineties American legal firm themed comedy, who is encouraging us all to take inspiration from Flockhart's character and "Be Ally" in our own way ?
If it's not that, I'm stumped.

That idea's got legs.
