I think they're ugly as sin! But, at least they're different - and different is better than boring!

I don't think I've seen one IRL, but that looks pretty interesting. And single motor = RWD, so dab of oppo and you'll be away.

2000kg....
So for context about a 100kg less than the current BMW 530.

no it isn't, it's 200kg MORE than the current 530i.
It's surely far smaller than a 5 series.
Almost 200kg more than a dual motor Model 3 (ignoring the single motor Model 3 because it has a smaller battery).
Edit, recently discontinued Model 3 long range RWD was 1735kg

They only sell hybrids 530's in the UK at 2080kg your figures are US market.
At 1910kg the RWD Inonic6 is not noteworthy of being heavy for a car of its size.
ETA they are similar in size 5m long, 3m wheelbase and 2m wide.

Parkers quotes the 330e at 1770kg, and 1540kg for the no longer available 530i

530 is a phev now as is the merc e300 at 2210kg.
I'm not here to argue on the internet just pointing out it's not any heavier than an ICE equivalent.

I really like the styling on these, I just find it odd that they have relatively average range for that styling.
330+ miles on 77kwh isn't average. That's 4kw/m region.
Same cd factor as the Calibra

Indeed, it's not light, but for it's spec it's certainly not considered heavy. I'm not looking for EVO driving, just a nice car to waft about in. Genuine 300mile range and reasonable performance, and it's different/interesting to look at. And cheap PCH.

The point of raising the weight was in response to Mik implying that it might be a RWD fun drifter. Hence it was replying to his post.

which is a perfectly reasonable outlook!!

Yeah, as the 'domestic appliance' car, it's reputedly very nicely put together, comfy, quiet - basically what you want out of a daily, and I quite like the slightly out there design, myself.

I think so. I wasn't looking for argument either, and it'll be open diff style axle anyway so dorifto not looking likely unless I get over confident in fast wet roads
