Morgan CX-T
Re: Morgan CX-T
It’s pretty pointless but I love it
Re: Morgan CX-T
I can't help but think they could have tried a little harder with the bodywork - the arch/sill could be easily replaced with more "off-road friendly" looking items.

Agree with rich. Trimmed back baja beetle style arches would look a millionty better with the chunky tyres.
Won’t be putting my order in

I've watched the HC video on it while I've been on the Choo Choo to London. I was rather sceptical prior to that but now think it's great. Lots of attention to detail and the practicalities of using it regularly. A great little car. Well done Morgan.
Re: Morgan CX-T
It looks a bit like one of those Top Gear / Grand Tour challenges where they get a few grand to ruin a car for off-roading and they end up with a car which is significantly worse in every which way afterwards.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Morgan CX-T
What Mito said. Utterly pointless, and not cool or good-looking to make up for it.
Re: Morgan CX-T
Watched the Carfection video earlier today. I thought fair enough as a small run of cars, I don't really want one though. Then the guy mentioning circa £170k + VAT, I thought wow that's really really expensive.
This must be up against the Ariel Nomad.. Looked that up and used Nomad's seem to cost around the £50k to £60k mark. I'm guessing the rarity of the CX-T means it would cost more, but jeez that's a lot of money!

I can't help thinking this has been developed for perhaps three customers who wanted 'something like an Atom but more exclusive', and they'll all be bought already at a price that covers the development cost, and they'll never get dirty other than the press/development car - they'll just sit in a collection somewhere.

I still like the Morgan though, despite the silly price!

Re: Morgan CX-T
I’m not bashing Morgan really, I like them for what they are, but a £200k “off road” version that is clearly going to be useless on anything more difficult than a smooth dry farm track is just stupid.

I happened to be visiting the factory the day it was announced. Saw it in a glass display out front. Pretty cool looking but £170k, blimey. I'll take an atom and several others cars for that money.
Left over crest; tightens.
Re: Morgan CX-T
How much more than a normal one is it?
I wonder if Harry can blag one for a road trip

There’s a Catchpole review in this month’s evo and it lists it at £204k. He loves it but mentions only 7 are being made, which is presumably about right in terms of ratio of availability to looneys existing in the world.
Like most I love the idea of it but would definitely buy something else for the money.
