Is apparently going to be a thing
https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new- ... -hypercars.
Not sure I see the logic, but I'm sure it'll be interesting to watch.

I think it makes a bit of sense. Bugatti realistically aren't going to be able to put a W16 engine into their cars for much longer. Watching the Rimac leave the Ferrari SF90 in the dust, still gives Bugatti the speed they have always had, but with electric motors rather than ICE.
Reading the article, the brands will still produce their own models for the time being, so can share technology or car building expertise for future models.

Plus it transfer ownership of Bugatti to Porsche and lets them control who gets to use Rimac’s tech..

Don't think that's right Ian, the article says that the tech part of Rimac is separate from the new entity.
Good deal for Mate Rimac though, less chance of him disappearing as another Hypercar also ran.

It says tech remains part of Roman group, which Porsche now owns 24% of?

Oh yeah, you’re right.
I was thinking of Bugatti Rimac rather than Rimac Group.
