Mental. At this rate I might be able to afford one in the new year!

I have limited feeling in one finger of one hand as I first decided to hold a metal-handled scalpel in my mouth, and subsequently decided to catch it when it fell from my gob. It did of course fall stabby-side down.

I thought this would be a prophetic story, a parable maybe, so I read it again to try and gain some wisdom Mik, then I realised that no, you just did something really stupid. :D

I notice that the configurator is still taking orders for the first edition, I wonder how long that will last and if they are keeping it open as they are worried about selling non first editions with less spec for the same price.

Im still keen on one of these and warming to the v6 manual now as opposed to the slightly underwhelming AMG, if the Mazda sells then I may well have a space in my garage. That said 20% of their cars up for sale seems high, I wonder if they aren't great once the honeymoon is over.

Still ironing out issues with the i4 too as well, looks like that may not land until the new year based on a quick read on the Emira forums.

Car are really damning on it in their recent mag

Just popped onto the Lotus website to see if the first edition is still for sale and surprised to see they have a dozen V6 available within 6 weeks for circa £90k

Lotus appear to be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory with the Emira.

My only hope is that many speculators got burnt.

Or you can pick up a not-even-run-in one for £70k. Crazy.

There are 71 for sale on auto trader, more than any other Lotus model the cheapest in the 60s from a main dealer.

The dealers have changed their tune, at one point a test drive was a remote possibility, I have avoided a test drive as Im sure heart would win over head.

@MikeHunt some would suggest that now might be a good time to pick one up for a very good price. Love you longtime.

I have been very close mik, the Mazda "sold" a few months back, a guy came to look at it, gave me £500 deposit and was in the process of selling a 90s SL to pay for it. Week after week, he'd update me with comical tales of buyers leading him on a wild goose chase. Now he isnt coming back to me and I don't even have his bank details to send him the money back, bizarre.

I might have to wait until spring now as not many people are crazy enough to buy a convertible at this time of year.
