£500 bonus!

Not a great time to be selling anything at the moment, convertible or otherwise.

Oddly, this one appears on Auto Trader as for sale - at the same price - at Marshall BMW in Scunthorpe: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 1143932500

Wonder if Cinch have changed their model?
ETA: ah, Cinch's owner bought Marshall Group: https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish ... eal/272561

What's the relevance of the Cinch cars you've linked? Or is it because I can try one FOC?

Does seem nuts. If I "bought" an Emira, I can blast it around for 200-or-so miles then just go...."Nah" and hand it back?

The fact that 73 plate Emiras with delivery miles are being sold by a non-brand car supermarket is indicative of the state of the market for them, that’s all.

So the number of Emira(s?) sold in the UK has already surpassed the number of Evora(s?) that were ever sold in the UK over 12-13 years.

Just a shame approx 6% of them are listed for sale on AutoTrader....

Saw another yesterday, they really do look very correct. If I had the space/cash I’d have V6 manuel immediately.

I've had the chance to look at a few more closely now, and I still think they look great. They are much more dramatic than anything else in their bracket IMO.

Oops! Thanks for the excellent info. I still kid myself that there is another Lotus in me, but the width of new cars is a constant thought at the back of my mind.

Ooof:

Apparently rows of Emiras waiting for delivery, have been there a while and potentially can't move until March

Jeez :? Crazy when they sold the later Evora there with essentially the same drivetrain.

It’s all becoming rather silly. 99% of sane people see the Emira as a slightly more focussed Evora (sans +2 capability), but I don’t know anyone who seriously considers it as the replacement for the Elise or Exige. Same for the EV in that article.

£75k for an Elise in 2027 may be reasonable the way the base price of cars is increasing. £100k more realistic.
I imagine a hot hatch will be £60k by then!
How about not having a sig at all?

i4's have landed. Not sure I'd want to go near some of the early ones, given the stories that have been circiling about cooling issues.

Are the V6s proving reliable? Against an Alpine A110 at over £60k now, they’re not far off at £72-73k for a 2023 car with ~2000 miles. Obviously good finance offers on the Alpine sway things a bit but there will be immediate £10k depreciation to counter that.

As is typical for Lotus, seems lots of the LE suffered from usual QA gremilins, typically software or electrical but nothing major. Suspect most should have been resolved by now.

Prices have flattened off too (as has the car market as a whole, though).
