Not yet silly - official launch is 06-July.

I am hoping to see manuel boxes and options with more than 4 wallopers.

Is this an Elise or Evora replacement?

Ah classic Lotus, simplify and add lightness by making one car instead of a range.

They stopped production of Elise + Exige + Evora a few months back.

Emira is the new one - fuck knows whether it is intended to replace one, two or all three of the above? 🧐

Yeah, I saw the videos of the final edition Elise and Exige.

Hope this one ends up being more than vapourware.

Wonder if this will be based on the 911 idea of having a version for everyone rather than several different models

base/carrera
faster base/ carrera s
really fast daily/ turbo
really fast lightweight/ gt3
super lightweight track version/ gt3rs?

They just need to find a niche or make it interesting enough otherwise everyone will talk about how great they are but still go off and buy a 911/Cayman. I mean, we've a forum full of nerds and yet how many on here who bought a 911 *really* considered an Evora in anything more than a passing thought?

Assuming c/o tub and subframe for the V6s, new subframe for the four put autos.

Fingers crossed it can find a niche.

Really shame about the loss of the small platform but when you can't sell to the yanks you're hamstringing yourself.

Yep, that looks like an Evora with a new body kit bolted on.

A still from the set up of Hethel’s own livestream launch apparently. Someone is going to get a kicking.

I’ll reserve judgement, but there’s a strong Evora resemblance to it around the roof and rear glasshouse.

Interested to see torque figures, given Lotus have long since maintained that the V6 gearbox is at its absolute limit, assuming it’s the same drivetrain.

Whoops!

Will be interesting if the venerable Toyota V6 gets any more power on paper too.
