If you apply through official channels a qualified interpreter can be assigned to you.

Where’s the I don’t mind option 😂

They’re good for tourism and nothing more than actors in the present day. Apart from the kid fiddler and the ginger prick the rest are alright.

I voted "fuck aye" because I can see the benefits around tourism and the like (and am a good protestant boy, just in case the local lodge is looking in).

I'll be honest, I don't really give a fuck about them in the scheme of things, at least not when we have a sitting government who seem to be able to do whatever they like without ever having to answer for their actions. I'm utterly done with them after this last 18 months or so.
Cheers,

Mike.

When people talk about privileged people, I can think of a lot worse examples than the royal family to be honest. At least they do try and make a difference, and work for it. There's a lot of people who have inherited (no doubt mostly equally ill gotten) fortunes that are far more unpleasant.

The early series were brilliant, but some of the cast are no longer with us so let it lie.

I'm very conflicted on the whole thing.

I get the idea of having a royal family, but I think they own far too much of the country.

I have no interest in their day to day lives but wouldn't want to lose them entirely, because once they're gone, that's hundreds of years of tradition gone.

The part I like about the monarchy is how the PM has to go and see the head of state every week, like a naughty schoolkid going to see the headmaster. It's probably helped to moderate some of our dodgier PMs actions over the years.

That's kind of the bit I hate the most! Along with the House of Lords. Unelected people having final sign offs on important decisions, just because their dad did, or some corrupt PM owed them a favour and stuck them on the list.

In line with Rich I'm torn between the history and link they provide, and them being the literal poster children for how unearned privilege, nepotism, and back room old boys networks have maintained and entrenched inequality, unaccountability and unfairness in society.
