Merlin Or Griffon

Everyone knows how epic the 27litre supercharged Merlin V12 sounds - most notably in the Spitfire.
Many of them actually contain the 37litre Griffon engine however. And it arguably sounds even betterer.
It is important that we answer this question. Within the next 2 days.

Lancasters had Merlins therefore they are the best.

The first flyby at the start of the second video is great, it’s that high pitched but as it passes directly over I love

Yeah the Doppler effect flatters massively here. The way the charger scream and exhaust rumble drop together as it passes is intense
They sound comparatively boring from inside *
* based entirely on choob vids unfortunately

The Merlin as it was that architecture everything else was based on, an amazing bit of pen and paper design.
