Enjoying the Formula E this weekend. Second race currently on iplayer. F1 could certainly learn a few things from FE. Please no boring comments about the noise blah blah electric cars are shite. Change it up.

Graphics, small things like a course map with the marshal yellow flag marked. F1 has that graphic I think but rarely uses it.
Direct commentator to driver chat, nascar style.
Winning car drives straight to a cool podium celebration.
Will.think of more.

I saw some of qualifying yesterday but it was so drawn out that I lost interest after the second set of 6 cars. Not a fan of how that is conducted!

I agree, just watched the superpole bits which was actually quite exciting.
Bit of an awks end to this second race but nm.

I guess actual engine noise and proper g force makes it rather difficult to hold proper conversations with an f1 driver mid race.

I think that's taken from Indycar - most of the time it's pretty silly though, much like the pointless Brundle/Croftie talking to someone on the pitwall, you're not going to get any useful information out of the team/driver during a race.

Can you imagine Kimi's reaction if Crofty started blathering on at him in the middle of a race?

Yeah, probably wouldn't work too great in a sport that more than one country/coverage/language watch.

You’d need f1 driver like reactions on the bleep button
doesn't seem to be the general opinion! The weird stripey rear (and lack of main sponsor) seems to be universally described as looking like one of the default cars on an old computer game.
