No F1 thread?
Re: No F1 thread?
No party mode from this race. Last year Leclerc with the cheat engine did a 1.19.3
Hamilton already on a 1.19.5 in Q1
Edit - down to 1.19.0 in Q2
If anything it looks like Honda and Ferrari engines suffering more than others.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
So noticed that the Mercs were topping out at 202 in Q1, then 205 in Q2 then 211 in Q3 Almost like they’re in a permanent party mode and just changing gear later.
Horner must be fuming, he seemed so smug when this new rule came in and now they’re the worst affected team

Hamilton set a new fastest lap in F1 history with a 165mph average speed!

All a bit silly really - higher power party mode just in essence represents the underlying durability of the engine.
If they take it away the better engines (Mercedes) will just run a higher average state of tune than the others. Will reduce the Q2 to Q3 delta but the winner will be the same. stupid point to focus on really.
Re: No F1 thread?
It never made sense, at first I thought it was Ferrari trying to claw back some performance but turns out Red Bull were pushing it following the remarks from Bottas and Toto.
Maybe Red Bull will just turn up the Honda to 12 in the hope of winning a few races and just risk even more premature engine failures. Also going off what Hamilton said I don’t think they even used party mode at Spa.

Re: No F1 thread?
Seen on Facebook they’ve got banners out already saying “lewis Hamilton’s 90th win”
Re: No F1 thread?
It'll be amazing when he wins at Mugello next weekend and equals Schumacher's 91 wins.

Re: No F1 thread?
The sad thing is that it won't be will it. Schumacher had genuine competition, I love F1 but at the moment I'm just watching the racing from P3 down. Its got to the point now where I'm hoping Mercedes pull out as they have nothing left to prove. Either that or the rule changes for 2022 actually do what they are meant to and create closer racing.
Does anyone have a link to a breakdown of the new car regs?

Schumacher dominated the 1995, 2001, 2002 and 2004 seasons.Zonda_ wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 10:16 amThe sad thing is that it won't be will it. We went through some similar boring seasons with Vettel, when he dominated at RBR.

Re: No F1 thread?
Yes but that was more down to him than the car. I've no doubt Hamilton is supremely talented but if he and Verstappen were to swap cars he wouldn't be able to challenge.Marv wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 12:18 pmSchumacher dominated the 1995, 2001, 2002 and 2004 seasons.Zonda_ wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 10:16 amThe sad thing is that it won't be will it. My sky recorded Lewis talking to Brundle.
What a cock.
