Re: No F1 thread?
I bet they give him a penalty large enough to wipe out his lead. I've got to wait until later to watch the ch4 highlights...

Re: No F1 thread?
The offence would only count if he actually entered the pits but he aborted it so the current rule shouldn’t apply. Liberty do seem to be all about keeping the fight going to the last race so a 5 or 10 second penalty wouldn’t surprise me.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
Seems a big late to raise it now? Surely it was seen at the time....
From Autosport :
His actions have now been reported to the stewards and, if he is found guilty of an offence, then he faces a time penalty that could drop him down the order.
Although the FIA's race notes ahead of the Hockenheim weekend did not make specific reference to drivers cutting back on track, the regulation Hamilton is believed to have broken is clear.
FIA International Sporting Code, Appendix L, Chapter 4, Article 4 d) states: "Except in cases of force majeure (accepted as such by the stewards), the crossing, in any direction, of the line separating the pit entry and the track by a car entering the pit lane is prohibited."

Scratch that apparently Kimi got a 5 second penalty for doing the same in Baku 2 years ago.

Re: No F1 thread?
Should be Bono in front of the stewards, he was basically telling Lewis to do the hokey cokey.

Well that was a good race, maybe random sprinklers should be introduced.
Feel bad for SEB, but what a drive from HAM! Also, LEC's 360deg spin

Re: No F1 thread?
I don't feel bad for Seb at all, he was the only once to crash out and he had cars in front of him to tell him what the track was like FFS (one of the commentators said he had an excuse, as lead car he doesn't get to see what the cars in front are doing through the corner but that was payed over the video clip of Seb follow a McLaren through the corner (and into the barrier))
Good race. I hope Lewis wins the next one to keep the championship alive. After the break there's a number of circuits which are looking to favour Ferrari and I'd rather they didn't just romp off into the distance points wise.

Well - what can I say. Inadvertently saw that Hamilton had crashed out in Q1 on Twitter yesterday and was expecting a podium drive today at best.
Have to admit I was shouting at the tv like it was a championship winnng race. Very lucky boy.

crashed out? He had a hydraulics failure!
Re: No F1 thread?
Crashed out as in did not proceed through, not crashed as in into a barrier.

IME when you're in management you have to speak very clearly and in small words so the peons understand .

Force India bought by the Stroll family. Lance to switch teams, Kubica also rumoured to join Force India.
