No F1 thread?
Re: No F1 thread?
Some great overtakes and action
I was really encouraged to see Leclerc pull away from Max in the early stages, and yes, it was mainly because Max's tyres were going off, but I was hoping for at least some competition this time
Sadly not really
And as much as I hate Max, I was pleasantly surprised to see him slow up near the end to try and help tow Perez along (but a great pass by Leclerc for second)
I thought they made great use of the Sphere, both for advertising and also race updates etc
Oh, and there was a helicopter shot, looking down the main strip from a high angle, showing all the lights, and huge illuminated electronic "billboards" etc that just reminded me of Bladerunner, all it was missing was a blimp advertising the off-world colonies...
Overall though, I was very "meh" about the whole thing

Usual 2 on the front row, however turn 1 in Abu Dhabi is quite tight. Wondering if we will see Verstappen smash Leclerc into the barrier which would in all honesty set up a good race
How about not having a sig at all?

Re: No F1 thread?
Just as after so many decades the changes made to Catalunya finally made it less shit
That track reminds me of another shit Spanish street circuit which was in the middle of an industrial wasteland...

That post was about 3-4 years ago, the lying prick keeps posting it, along with the rest of the bullshit claims. (I've been blocked from all his accounts so many times!)

Re: No F1 thread?
I heard that William Storey went down to Superkarts the first day it opened, and did a couple of laps. He pulled over, the bloke that runs the thing comes over and said - "Oi no professionals". He took his helmet off, and said "I'm not a professional". He said - "you're not a profesional"? William said - "No", he said - "well you should be, if I was you I'd take up Formula One, and if you drive like that you'd probably be the best in the country". Storey said - I'm not interested, I'm making shit loads spaffling bullshit related to Rich Energy drinks.

That's a shame. He was quite a character to watch.
