Re: No F1 thread?
Red Bull needing to fix something on Verstappen's rear wing again. 4 races in a row now. And they're crowing about Merc's wing...
Re: No F1 thread?
That's great.
This track looks pretty shit, bar some bullshittery drama it may well be boring.

A friend refers to Horner as 'Whinger Spice"GG. wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 1:19 pm Aaaaand. I was right. They didn't permit a reasoned review of the decision. I'd be interested to see the rationale behind it - I wonder if it was because they didn't investigate the incident in the first place (which is ridiculous - what if they missed someone deliberately ramming another off the track - would they then decline to review once the footage came to light because they didn't see it at the time?)
Horner (or as some are calling him "Salty Spice" ) saying they'll challenge the legality of the Mercedes if they run the same rear wing from Brazil.
Re: No F1 thread?
Its quite something when faced with a 7 time incumbent that the challengers are so hated by many fans
Re: No F1 thread?
I’ve not seen any of this, but my wife commented he was quick and his wing was flapping g like crazy, then they taped it up and he was slower. Red bull probably pushing how flexi they can get away with their not flexible wingsSwervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 2:50 pm Red Bull needing to fix something on Verstappen's rear wing again. 4 races in a row now. Re: No F1 thread?
Horner said he will protest the Mercedes rear wing if they see “score marks” again but didn’t expand on it. So the Mercedes upper wing element must be flapping up and down presumably and scoring the inner end plates which is what Red Bull have picked up. This is probably also what Max was fiddling with when he touched the wing, seeing how bendy it is

Re: No F1 thread?
Rather rich when the RB's rear wing flaps about more than Geri's undergarments.
Re: No F1 thread?
More clarification on the Mercedes wing score marks - it's the lower element

Max may be getting a dose of cunty karma back
Under investigation for not obeying double yellows.
Also Bottas and Sainz for overtaking under a single yellow.

Re: No F1 thread?
Sky F1 commentary said people were slowing then said there were no yellow flags "the stewards/marshals must be happy the car was off the racing line". Guess they just didn't spot them then. Certainly some cars did slow right down but from memory Bottas just about went in to the back of Vettel who had slowed down.
Re: No F1 thread?
It seemed to me going off the tv graphics which are linked to FIA control board regarding the flags etc that the yellows came out (when Gasly first exploded his wing), then he continued round so they went off, then they came back on as he came to a stop on the pit straight. At this point the marshals could see a stopped car so waved double yellows but the FIA overran the light panels so on the tv graphics also there was no yellow.
Vettel questioned this afterwards saying he thought it was to allow Max to finish his lap. In which case that’s appalling behaviour by Masi and he should fuck off.
This may also give Max a free pass as in night races the LED light boards can take precedent over the flags due to visibility.

Re: No F1 thread?
Seems crazy. Other times they’ll stick a yellow out straight away, or even a virtual safety car when a car slows and pulls into a safe place completely off the track, this time there were bits of wing and tyre strewn over the track and a slowing / stopped car with driver still on track yet there’s confusion over the flags.
Cheers, Harry
