Any Echo Dot owners?

We have an odd situation with ours, it’s linked to a Spotify account so it always defaults to playing music from there. In the last few days when you ask it to play something it will do the normal “Playing whatever from Spotify” then silence. I went into the Spotify app and it says it’s playing on s’s 3rd Echo dot. We don’t and have never had a 3rd one, I told it to forget it but it keeps reappearing.
