Thought it was fairly well known that their sausages were their most produced item, it’s often one of those trick pud quiz type questions :lol:

Didn’t realise they’d actually given them a proper vw part number though 8-)

I wonder what the UK equivalent would be? A bloke knocking out pork pies in the corner of the Mini factory?

Having interviewed a number of former workers at Longbridge, I wouldn't be the least surprised. As they built a predetermined number of cars per day (with each station having a set number of minutes to complete a task, and the time set not bearing much relation to actual time spent) they had a lot of time waiting around. They had a guy who did a barbershop service while they waited at the end of the day.
