The drones were amazing. The light show and those were SO MUCH BETTER than the same old London Eye stuff every year. Props.

Nothing like that here in Berks.
Just some amateur odds & ends from a few roads away and a child complaining that she's cold.
EDIT: But HNYYC, we all hope it's better than the last one.

All the best folks, and wishing Mrs Mik recovers soon Mik.
Our little one woke for the first timeon a NYE so watched the fireworks. Including the next door but one neighbour nearly blow himself and his car up!

Marshmallows toasted on an open fire with the boy (still with lots of booze don’t worry...) was an acceptable substitute for the normal celebrations.
Best of luck for the next year everyone. I’m reasonably certain its all upwards from here on out (don’t sue me if I’ve jinxed it!!)

HNY to all. Not the greatest start to 2021, as my wife's grandfather passed away this afternoon.

Thanks, yes it does. He was 95, suffered from dementia and his wife died in July, so probably a good time for him to go.
Family is feeling okay. Biggest concern is that the sale of their house was due to complete this week, but now not sure what happens. The concern is for the chain, as the people buying the buyer's house have to be out on the 11th. Hopefully something can be worked out so people can move in.
We went down to the house yesterday to say goodbye (to it and the memories) and remove some of the last items from the garden. Somehow felt fitting.

Sorry for your loss Alex.
When I bought this house the old lady selling it died before exchange. Luckily the family were able to obtain probate very quickly as the estate was so simple (one bank account, one house, that's it), and we were able to keep the chain together and simply kick the dates back a few weeks.
