Tong & Heritage Orchestra Tonite

Post by mik »

Speakers at the respective abodes of Messrs @scotta and myself shall be getting a proper workout this evening between 9 and 10pm.

Not sure I’ll be able to replicate the ridiculously thumping sound system the orchestra usually use, but I expect the 10” sub will be doing some work 8-)

I didn’t get it together to take advantage of the £10 early bird prices, but it has to remain good value at £16.50 per household.

Full orchestra doing Belfast by Orbital. Special. :geek:

Genuinely feel like I’ve just been out to a gig.... :?

Sounds good - not sure it’s £16.50 good but good.

(Out there Somewhere is Orbital’s finest hour IMO)

Halcyon On & On shuffled on earlier funnily enough. Just put Belfast on.

Now imagine synth sections played by 23 live violins and 12 cellists - you’re about 15% of the way there....

You’ve sent me down a prog house rabbit hole. I’m not complaining.

I’m no huge fan of Mr Tong, but the Heritage Orchestra doing Clubbed To Death or La Ritournelle.... <wets pants>.
Need to search under Tong.

Had not heard of the Heritage Orchestra, enjoying listening to some via Youtubes now.

I can concur that this was infact epic. My Decibel app clocked 113db peak when i was watching it. I can also confirm that I paid the tenner for it.

Might be loud but sounds a bit thin and top endy to me 😜

We went to see Graeme Park plus orchestra at Scarbados in 2019. It was brilliant! I'd imagine this to be a similar experience.

This week's essential mix sounds good to my ears. Bicep's 2014 one is on the classic e.m page this week too.

Yeah, the Frankie Wah one was good, so was the Duck Sauce (A-Trak and Armand Van Helden) one the week before
