It's about time the French cottoned on to this. Even keeping relatively recent models going is much more difficult than many German or Japanese makes.

This is great news.

This means that long lost parts will now be re-produced to a good standard. Bumper inserts, cloth, plastic parts etc.

This will keep some cars on the road where previously you needed amazing eBay Kung Fu or you had to pay tip off prices from nerdy hoarders.

I read Mazda are doing this or similar for early MX-5s.

I read Mazda are doing this or similar for early MX-5s.
Its a great concept. I couldn't get bits of trim for a 6 year old Alfa Romeo in 2003.

I can imagine some cars being written off with relatively light damage just through the inability to get parts.

I think [mention]Matty[/mention] had a similar issue with his 147GTA back in teh great floods when Alfa didn't have any engines.

I did, no engines to be hand..... except my insurance company instead handed me 6500 in cold hard cash, tapped me the cheek and told me to go and buy myself something nice.
