One that will attach to a set of keys but not be noticeable in a pocket. Recommendations?

The one on your phone?

Otherwise, Mito probably has a good idea.

I don’t know about “micro” torches - I think the really small ones which use a button cell are pretty pointless because they have less light output than a phone.

Moving on to the slightly larger end you have the AA/AAA torches, they’re ok if you can be bothered to keep changing batteries.
Something like this is from a good brand so the specs won’t be made up like the eBay ones.

I bought this last time

It’s been a good torch, I just have it in my jacket and it lasts over 10 days between charges now that I don’t keep pissing about with it on full power. It’s bright enough to be all the torch you need.

Excellent, that’s what I’m after.

I've had a Maglite Solitaire on my keys for years. I've also got one in my Camera Case with some Red Gel over the lens.

Plenty of light for the use - never put a foot wrong.

"EDC" <shudder> :)

I was looking at USB-C rechargeable torches recently.

I rarely need a torch, and when I do, the batteries are invariably flat/need changing.

With USB-C (as opposed to micro-USB), you can "splash and dash" - get a good amount of charge/usage for a few mins charging time.

Seems like it would solve my problems...

It's an abbreviation of an awful expression: Every Day Carry
