So looking into UTC reminded me that the earth's rotational speed is slowing minutely - necessitating the insertion of a leap-second every 2.5years or so.

Don't we all need more hours in the day? FFS lets petition to get this accelerated so we can sort one of the fundamental problems we face. Day in. Day out.

Anyone read The Age of Miracles? About the earth's rotation slowing down. I'm half way through it (which maybe means the second half will be finished before sunset).
