The Alfasud thread

We all love new car guessing games

Currently sat in a hotel just outside Exeter ready to go and collect it tomorrow morning, followed by a 300 mile drive home.

It is old, has a drivetrain configuration I’ve not yet owned, not an e36, not a 911.

Assuming it’s not an utter heap of junk when I turn up, and it makes it home, hopefully I’ll do a reveal with a photo tomorrow evening.

A correct guess wins a thousand mockdiamonds.

I know nothing about integrale_evo mik except that he probably owns or owned a lancia delta integrale evo. Which has the exact drivetrain configuration of an Audi Quattro

Cayman S 981

I can't believe you're getting more cars when you have so many unfinished ones! 😂

I did have a Lancia, but that was a front transverse in-line 4 cyl Turbot 4wd.

A Quattro is a front longitudinal in-line 5 cylinder 4wd, so fits my clue, but much as I want one they’re out of my price range.

Current fleet is
Metros + golf, front transverse i4 fwd
Mito, front transverse i4 turbot fwd
E30, front longitudinal i4 rwd
E36 + e46 front longitudinal i6 rwd
Merc, front longitudinal v6 rwd
Camper, rear longitudinal flat 4 rwd (air cooled)
Fiat 850, rear longitudinal i4 rwd ( water cooled)

Everything else I’ve owned so far fits in with the configurations above.

Something with eight cylinders or something mid-engined would be the obvious omissions from the list...

Yeah this. Also like Mik I immediately went to 20v Quattro when I read the first post, which is really weird because I’ve also no idea why.

I was thinking mid engine too, MR2 turbot. Although japanese is not Harry’s usual style.
