That's what made it so funny - it was slap bang in the middle of the richest "village" in the Dublin Suburbs. The Pub across the road regularly topped the most valuable list.

Years later, while I was at Uni, they sold the land to Texaco (who built a bells and whistles corporate site) and they bought back the franchise in some sort of weird deal I never understood but it made them rich immediately and left them with a business and an income. I worked there again for 6 months to help them get everything up and running.

Edit - We had... ahem... a certain group... cough.. who had a real liking for red diesel. In the end, we had to remove the pump and replace it with an old one with no gauge so we could only sell it into containers.

We then had to make sure they didn't start pouring it into their Toyota Hyace's on the forecourt.

That's becoming a standard response to me
Is it always you that asks ?? I was just enjoying doing the same dad joke over and over again :D

But yeah, the sensor itself is a lot more, but those are working fine; I just need the stem part.

Rears should be ~2.9 bar but obvs I can’t at the moment.

Finally done this morning. The invoice doesn't break it down, but "Supply & fit TPMS valve" was £30 all-in. That's just the stem, nothing wrong with the sensor so that transfers across. This seemed more than reasonable to me as it took them about half an hour, apparently the old valve was a bit of a git to remove.

I am very happy with LODGE TYRES CARNFORTH 8-)
