One block east of TBR along the same road. Lived there up to around 9 years ago. You must have seen the place change a lot in 20 years. I really liked living there, my old housemate stayed around the area but moved a bit closer to Rotherhithe.

Re: 5g
There was only one pub and one restaurant on Bermondsey St, Bermondsey Square was a waste ground with a much larger antiques market from about 6am on a Friday (5x bigger than today) and More London was still a WWII bomb site down to the basements. It’s crazy to think that the riverside facing the city of London was like that in 2001!
Here’s the view from our first flat in the area. As 3rd year students we were paying £425pm each and had an uninterrupted view of the Thames from the balcony until City Hall started going up.
Re: 5g
the whole 5G is interesting, and the home wired broadband debate, I use my phone as a 4G router for the house I just bought- not staying there yet, but can stream Youtube etc no probs on the smart TV, my recent trip rounf the UK using carplay and 3 kids gaming or streaming on phones/ipads with no issues, just as well i have unlimited data.
Theres 1000mb/s fibre available now but I would need a mesh as well as the house is so big, just the standing charges for a phone no I will never use/want.
No 5G at the address and a smattering throughout the city it seems, be a while yet then!
