Brill 8-) 8-) 8-)

Roof - is a piece of elastic with holes in - you might be lucky and just move it up a notch. I am still guiding mine in by hand which is no drama even when driving along in traffic.

Looks great.

This sounds good for around a grand with headers - valve tronic

Lovely! Congratulations. Hope the roof is an easy fix, to enjoy that engine note even more.

Thanks everyone. Am really pleased with it, that feeling you get on a flowing road when everything just clicks is amazing and is something I’ve missed for a very long time!

What’s the deal with the spoiler btw, my original car didn’t have one - does it go up at 60mph until you go under that speed?

Yes, Pentlands on the left and Arthur’s Seat on the far right. If you zoom in you should’ve able to see Edinburgh Castle and the Scott Monument too.

Press button on dash from 0 mph + and it'll go up and stay up until you go over 60 and then itll go back to auto mode. To lower it you have to be moving so it doesnt trap fingers.

That’s exactly what it does so brilliantly! Happy driving!

I think the biggest surprise is how connected you feel to the car and the road compared to the Golf which with hindsight seems so sterile and insulated.

Totally. No fake noise and over assisted everything.

You'll actually turn back and look at it too. Not something a grey golf made me do.

Those wheels are the nicest of that current Porsche gen, IMO.

Looks great and very tidy!

I think Porsche (from that era?) is more about intake noise than exhaust noise. Not driven one but been a passenger in a 987 2.7 Boxster..... hearing that distinctive flat-six noise just behind your seat is lovely.

Had to pop to the local farm shop with the girl tonight and it turned in to a very long drive just for the hell of it which is something I’ve not done in a very, very long time.

It’s all about the handling and the cornering isn’t it? Had a whale of a time at sensible speeds.

What tyres are people recommending these days btw?

Maybe they changed it on the 3.4s. but I never had to be moving to retract the spoiler, however, you do need to press and hold until the light goes out.
