WiFi oddness.

Our home WiFi is behaving very oddly, some machines/phones will connect and some won’t. I’ve reset the router twice and restarted the affected machines and it’s still the same. I don’t know what to try!

We had randomly dropping/poor WiFi for a while, probably down to just too many devices, 10 or so.

Bought a BT 3pack mini mesh for £70 week before last and not had a problem since (apart from the BT control app but the hardware just works)

We’ve never had any issues before, it’s always been a strong signal right down the garden.

Any new devices added?
How old is the router?
Has the firmware just been updated?
Have you scanned for interference from other networks?

Try changing the channels first of all.

Try changing the channels first of all. How do I do that? It’s a Virgin Media Hub 3

We had this recently. Deleted the network off the affected devices and then reconnected, worked fine since.

To look at interference download something like WifiMan from your preferred app store. It'll show you how congested the channels are.

Virgin linky for channel changing: https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin ... ss-channel

Was there interference? Look through the settings on the router to see about firmware. If that's older than when the issue started then it's probably not that.

Create (if you can) a new SSID and see if that has the same issues.
