Well that’s made the front end much nicer and the tiny headlights more in proportion

I don’t know what has changed.

A nice before and after shot would have helped.

This - I genuinely can’t tell without a side by side

Ah, i think I was distracted by the mention of grill, like the actually grill was the addition - it’s really “whole front bumper”.
It is much better.

The traditional Aston grille makes it look a bit boring imo

It might do but I find the standard grill looks like an unfinished kit car

Aston has designed themselves into a cul de sac by sticking so slavishly to the Ian Callum design points. It’s nice to see them trying new things, even if it is baby steps.

I’m indifferent about it - I don’t mind the outside too much, it’s the really odd centre console that gets me and is sadly inflicting every new Aston

I don’t know if it’s the lower buttons and toggle switches but it’s very fighter plane-esque to me.

I think that modified grille is better but ironically I think could have been a bit bigger...

Yeah that looks nicer, but also more trad. I wonder how many owners will feel compelled to change? Won’t be cheap and you’ll need to declare mods....

Lower half is ok. It’s the air vents, especially the wonky ones on the sides and the mid 2000’s era awkwardly plopped afterthought of a small sat nav which does it.

I wonder what AM'll come up with for a facelift now that route's been claimed by the aftermarket?

The whole dash looks like some sort of ( admittedly well finished ) kit car, with random buttons, switches and vents from all sorts of different donor cars all slapped on and sort of moulded in, it just doesn't look like a cohesive mainstream design that's had any real thought put into it.

Interestingly their improvement to the rear (on the right) is even better I think. Makes the standard design look badly resolved.

Speaking on the topic of subtle changes I’ve seen a few Discovery 5s with the number plate on the boot being in a central position rather than offset. I guess after seeing a few I assumed it was changed by Land Rover themselves but it seems not. So quite a few people are willing to change these things.
