992 Targa

I’ve never been taken by convertibles (other than the 90’s TVR Griffith, but there was lots to like there and no roofy option).

Targa’s and T-tops (is that the right phrase? :? ) always seemed like a good option though.

Early 911 Targas looked great. 993 lost the curvy rear glass; but the sliding roof was CAF. The only 993 I have driven for any length of time was a Targa and it was lovely.

992 still looks very “does my bum look big in this?” to me, but the new Targa is the most attractive variant I have seen so far.

Don't like any of them except the ones with the big sliding panel and not a removeable bit.

Even then I'd rather have one with solid roof, preferably with no sunroof.

they’re not “removable” these days.

Why don’t the Targas come in Turbo guise but the convertibles do? :(

I'd love a Targa.

Doesn't seem to have attracted the same buzz that was around the 991.1 Tagra

Well it's not very different to the 991 Targa really. That was quite a return to the classic look, with a bonkers mechanism, after the somewhat dull 996/997 Targa.

Yes, just felt it was interesting. I remember they were making list at 2 years old.

Wouldn’t touch one unless I was 1000000billianty00000% sure that roof was factory fit and hadn’t been fucked about with.

Do dealerships steal them and replace them with Chinese copies? “Tagra” :?:

No Bob down the road takes the tin top 911s, spends 20 minutes with a reciprocating saw and coverts them to Targas. They leak no end and are noisy. That’s why you should only buy a Targa made in Stuttgart.
