duncs500 wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 3:17 pm A few weeks ago everyone was getting it all sorted quickly and the system was working, it seems to have shat itself in the last couple of weeks however.
Who could have guessed that extra capacity would be required when the kids go back to school and more workers start going back into the office, after the summer holidays?
Not the government obviously.

Was quick and smooth when I got there, only near retched once when I tickled my own tonsils.

Driving there and back with fuggy fevery head during Leeds school run rush has left me with a different kind of cold sweat though.

Nathaniel, yeah, it looked to be about 1/3rd - 1/2 utilised to me.

Did you have to do your own swabs??

I can only imagine how driving there and back must leave you feeling... Crazy stuff.

Yeah. I get the impression if I'd had difficulty they'd have helped but I got there in the end.

Obviously because we run absolute minimal viable staff at work, I'm being pressured to get working again. Yeah, if I feel better tomorrow maybe, but not today. If we lose money because I can't do BAU stuff, that's a management of the company problem, not a me problem.

Definitely not your problem, take the time off if you need it. Hopefully you’re feeling better soon.

Re doing it yourself, I’m still genuinely surprised they expect anybody to do the one in to the nose yourself - when i had it done, there’s no way I’d have been able to put it in that far back. I’m sure you get used to it if you have to do it regularly, but all basic instincts would make me stop.
Cheers,

Mike.

What is the UK test? The long probe thing up the nose or is it something in the throat?

It's Corona it would seem.

At least that's what the test result says.

Rich, indeed. My neighbour still owes me beer for looking after his cat the other week, so I'll see if I can exchange that for an Asda run, and beer
